About Us

In the fall of 2010, I founded Bishop White Insurance & Financial Services, Inc., as a full-service insurance agency.  I have 30 years of experience in the industry, I am a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and I have a degree in Finance from Central Michigan University.

I'm passionate about providing my clients with an unsurpassed service experience, and the part of my job I enjoy the most is helping people understand their own personal, business, and farm policies.

Growing up in Michigan, I never thought I would find my way to Iowa.  But in 2004 I fell in love with the state, and today my roots are firmly planted in metro Des Moines.  My wife Kelli and I have two sons, Dakota and Keaton.  We enjoy time with family, friends, and neighbors, summer vacations at Lake Michigan, and cheering on our boys' sports teams.

Philanthropy is important to me, and in the past I have volunteered at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, and here in central Iowa at the Chamber of Commerce, the World Food Prize, and the Youth Emergency Services Shelter.  For the past nine years, I have also served as a youth baseball and soccer coach in the spring and fall seasons.

  The path that led me to a career in insurance has been anything but linear. My first exposure to the field came while working the front desk of an insurance agency during college. This experience proved to be more formative than I could have imagined as it sparked a lasting interest in a profession I would eventually return to with a deep sense of purpose.

While earning a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I gained valuable experience in two very different fields. Still, I felt called to pursue a career that aligned more closely with my personal goals and values—especially my desire to serve others in meaningful, practical ways.

Today, I’m a licensed insurance agent at Bishop White, where I’ve built a strong foundation in personal lines insurance. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families navigate the often confusing world of insurance with clarity and confidence. Whether it’s reviewing a policy or guiding someone through a claim, I strive to be a trusted, approachable resource every step of the way. 

I’m a proud resident of the Des Moines metro along with my husband, Parker, our wonderful daughter, and our three beloved pets. Outside of work, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, diving into home projects, or gathering with friends and family.  It’s a privilege to serve this community and to help our clients protect what matters most.
